CAUTION:
Do not restrict the bypass portion of this thermostat.
The thermostat will
automatically restrict bypass flow as the coolant temperature
increases.
Required Items:
Bypass Thermostat Custom Silicon Hose Set and Clamps
or
1 - 16mm Barbed Tee Fitting
6 - 1" Stainless Steel Hose Clamps
16mm Coolant Line Hose (as required)
Please use above diagram in addition to the following
instructions.
Step 1:
Cut lower radiator line
and install a 16mm Tee Fitting using 2 stainless steel hose
clamps.
Step 2:
Cut upper radiator line
and install thermostat using 2 stainless steel hose
clamps.
Step 3:
Install bypass hose
between bottom outlet on the thermostat and the tee fitting in the lower radiator line
using 2 stainless steel hose clamps.
Remember, if the temperature sensor is in the radiator, the temperature gage shows the
temperature of the coolant entering the radiator. The temperature guage reading will not accurate show the engine coolant temperature until the coolant temperature reaches 130 Farenheit, when the thermostat is fully open and the bypass is closed.
